Benjamin Delaney

Benjamin Delaney leads the sports portfolio of projects part of Development Victoria’s Civic Infrastructure group, who are responsible for managing major project delivery on behalf of government clients.

With more than 25 years’ experience in planning and delivering major civic and infrastructure projects, Benjamin has led some of the state's most significant redevelopments, including the $1B Melbourne Park Redevelopment encompassing the Rod Laver Arena Redevelopment, Centrepiece, and the National Tennis Centre; along with the State Netball and Hockey Centre, State Basketball Centre Bundha Sports Centre. Benjamin’s teams are currently leading the delivery of the, Albert Park Pitt Buildings for the Australian Grand Prix, and eight of the Regional Sports Infrastructure Projects and the business case for the Redevelopment of the MCG amongst other significant sports projects.

Prior to joining Development Victoria, Benjamin delivered complex and challenging major projects both internationally and in Australia, specialising in the delivery of major sporting, event, and social infrastructure.

A trusted advisor to senior levels of Government, Benjamin is a specialist in strategic procurement and collaborative contracting models of delivery.
