Steve Verity is the Principal Advisor for Asset Management at the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA). With over 30 years of experience in infrastructure management across both public and private sectors, he has played a pivotal role in advancing asset management practices. A Fellow member of IPWEA, Steve understands the critical importance of applying robust planning and risk management frameworks to secure the necessary funding for delivering projects and programs at the agreed level of service.

In his role at IPWEA, Steve provides technical leadership in asset management, drives industry training, and advocates for members to address emerging challenges. He has contributed to key resources such as the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM), and NAMS+ and mentors industry practitioners through the Asset Management Pathway educational program, which supports individual recognition under the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) Global Certification Scheme.

Steve also represents IPWEA on the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management and serves as the principal author of several infrastructure studies, including the National State of the Assets Report for the Australian Local Government Association.

With his extensive experience and dedication to improving infrastructure outcomes, Steve is a valuable asset to IPWEA and the broader public works community.
