Presentation Abstract submissions CLOSED FRIDAY 10TH MARCH
In 2023 our Conference program will align with our Awards program for the first time, so delegates get greater insight into public works engineering achievements.
Accepted abstracts will be offered an oral presentation slot during the conference, and have the option to enter their project into the Engineering Excellence Awards Program.
Presentations abstracts are invited for the following categories:
ProjectS
This category recognises the design and/or construction of a significant public works infrastructure project that demonstrably benefits the community.
<$2m value
$2m - $5m value
>$5m value
2. Innovation
This category recognises excellence in the implementation of ideas that can be considered exceptional by traditional standards.
Metropolitan
Regional
3. Asset Management
This category recognises best-practice asset management and the pursuit of a whole-of-life perspective.
4. Environmental Sustainability
This category recognises environmentally sustainable design and the development or adoption of new or improved techniques.
Eligibility Criteria
Abstract submissions must be received by COB Friday 10th March 2023 through the online submission portal.
Submissions must include the following information:
a 50-100 word Executive Summary (for publication)
a 400-500 word Nomination Overview (for judging) addressing addressing the project objectives, outcomes, challenges, solutions and community benefit
a high-resolution photograph suitable for publication
Projects must have been completed between May 2022 and May 2023.
Submissions must highlight the role played by the nominee or project team and identify the role/s played by external consultants and/or contractors.
At least one representative from each accepted abstract is expected to attend the Conference dinner.
Please note that all presenters will be required to register and pay (full conference or single day registration). The conference does not offer complimentary registrations for presenters.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Have your Executive Summary, Nomination Overview and Photograph ready to upload
Head to the submission portal and select “Submit an Abstract”
Select the category that best suits your abstract: Projects, Innovation, Asset Management or Environmental Sustainability (choose 1)
Upload the required documents
Select if you would like to enter your abstract into the Engineering Excellence Awards. If you select "Yes", your project will automaticall be entered into the Awards Program. No further action is required to complete the nomination.
